Herbalist (Bsc, MBA) Tonja Reichley spends her time in the urban alleyways of Denver and on the windswept coast of western Ireland foraging for wild herbs to nourish, heal and revitalize the whole self: body, mind and spirit. She loves the power and connection of ritual and ancient Celtic monastic traditions. She practices alchemy through the sychronicities of the natural world and her own connection to the healing arts, inspired by Brighid of Kildare, Irish goddess and saint.
Tonja created MoonDance Botanicals, a herbal boutique near downtown Denver, which included an extensive line of artisan bath and body products and herbal remedies including holistic face care, foot pampering, bath scrubs and salts, soap and cleansers, aromatherapies and organic herbal tea blends and tinctures. All products are handcrafted onsite by a collaborative herbal community with love and intention using organic and pure ingredients. Tonja sold the shop in May 2016 to move to Ireland and pursue long-held dreams in that mystical land.
Tonja teaches classes on Irish spirituality and herbs in Denver and in Ireland. Her classes inspire the senses by learning-by-doing and focuses on the use of herbs and aromatherapy for living a more connected and radiant life. She leads sacred journeys to Ireland three times a year, inspiring pilgrims with the holy landscape, deepening through ritual, prayer, intention, opening to the mysteries of ancient sites and herbal thresholds.
Tonja is the author of The Way of Brighid Oracle Cards, a 33-card deck dedicated to
Irish goddess and saint, Brighid offering daily affirmations and ritual and prayer. Her new book Wild Irish Roots: A Seasonal Guidebook of Herbs, Ritual and Connection offers inspiration through the herbs, tarot, moon cycles and the Celtic festivals.
