Wild Retreat: A Self-Guided Pilgrimage or Retreat

Listen to the yearning for deep quiet, sweet simplicity and remembered connection.  Listen to the call to return to a land of your ancestors and the wisdom and sacredness held there.  Listen!  And come to Ireland for your own personal retreat and adventure or allow me to share a customized pilgrimage guide for you to do on your own.  I have created a simple oasis in my Irish home and would love to share it with you.

Come into community space with your own private room.

The house includes a full kitchen, large dining table and a cozy sitting area with a wood burning fire. The gorgeous lush garden is beckoned inward through the south-facing wall of windows, where you will gaze upon sacred trees, artful features and a tiny lake. Vast sky with no light pollution gives you a sense of being held by the stars and the moon and the depths of the night, a true sense of being immersed in Nature.

The house has four bedrooms (two bedrooms with one double bed each, both ensuite) downstairs and two bedrooms (one with three twin beds and one with a double bed and a twin bed) upstairs with a shared bathroom including a luscious soaking tub.  Plus a cottage suite, ensuite, that is a few steps from the common areas in the house.

There is a washing machine onsite and a pantry well-stocked with herbs, spices and all the basics.

Room rental: $300 per week (or enquire for longer stays). Includes your own private room (some ensuite) plus access to the common areas and living in community with other like-minded guests.

My house is located 1 KM from the quaint seaside town of Kinvara in County Galway, about 30 minutes from Galway City. Kinvara has several great restaurants, fun pubs and live music, amazing coffee/ delis, a health food shop and sweet craft shops of locally made goods. It is located in the Burren, a mystical part of Ireland filed with holy wells and sacred sites plus other favorites like the Burren Perfumery, Corcomroe Abbey and Burren National Park. There are several beaches within a 10 minute drive. Connemara is about an hour drive away. Doolin, the Aran Island and the Cliffs of Moher (or even better Hag’s Head) is an hour away. And it’s a gift to stay home, on the land, in the peace of the garden (and we have a secret entrance into the Burren for a connection to the wild!).
